Scientific Background

Clu is a kind of protein with protective function in human body. The insufficient content of Clu in some patients with cardiovascular diseases and eye diseases will lead to serious consequences. The project uses advanced technology to produce recombinant rClu to compensate the insufficient content of Clu in patients. Animal experiments have proved that rClu can act as the same function as Clu. It can improve and treat cardiovascular diseases and ocular surface diseases. rClu of this project is the only known Clu analogue that can be developed into medicine in the world.

Cardiovascular Disease

Inflammatory reaction can induce series of cardiovascular problems such as hypertension, hyperlipemia, hyperglycemia, atherosclerosis and heart failure, etc.

At the same time, rClu can protect high-density lipoprotein and stabilize low density lipoprotein, strengthen and regulate cholesterol metabolism, reduce blood lipids and blood sugar levels. It can also regulate liver metabolic function.

The project is aimed at the Clu insufficient patients.  The patients with cardiovascular diseases can get effective treatment by taking rClu, which can improve Clu function significantly in the body, and ameliorate atherosclerosis, hypertension, hyperlipemia, hyperglycemia and hypertriglyceridemia.
